RIGHT TO VOTE
19 June 2017
Recently a Right to Vote workshop was held with residents of the the Valley Accommodation Unit; with Roger Mullin, MP, facilitating. Discussions were had regarding the current political system and what MPs can do to enact change which impacts both directly and indirectly on the lives of voters. Residents heard, first hand, how important their vote is and how MPs can assist people with their issues, including difficulties with benefits, housing needs and disability/mobility issues. All agreed that they now felt encouraged to exercise their vote and that the workshop had made politics far more accessible to them.
